DailyRead-Art-wlogoReading:  1 Corinthians 3:9
For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.

Many people imagine God as a white-robed, white-headed, backlit, distant Monarch enthroned in an ethereal chamber amidst the clouds. Have you ever pictured God as a Master Builder surveying a site with blueprints and a plumb line? Have you ever caught a glimpse of the Creator brooding over a desolate wasteland?

I have seen Him, this Master Builder, blueprints in hand, gazing out over the barren Russian steppe. I have seen Him, this Creative Genius, surveying the great cities of the world. I have seen Him set massive foundations in the blood-spattered ruins of Bosnia. I have seen Him, this Brilliant Innovator, building a mighty church on martyr’s blood in China. I have seen Him, marking off dimensions, gathering in His laborers, assembling His equipment, inspecting every footing, strengthening every column, assigning every task, and empowering every willing worker. I see, in Him, divine ability, perfect planning, uninterrupted supply, power to dig, power to lift, power to demolish, power to fabricate, power to annex, and power to finish!

We are His ultimate project. We are His passionate vision. We are His work in progress, and He is determined to bring us to completion.
