Reading:  1 Thessalonians 4:17
After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

The media blankets the world. My cable service boasts four twenty-four hour news outlets. The Internet offers another means by which instant information can be delivered. A plane crashes. We know it in minutes. The World Cup is played out on another continent. We watch it live. The infrastructure for worldwide reporting is poised and ready for a story that will rock the world. I expect it in my lifetime: “MILLIONS OF PEOPLE – DISAPPEAR!”

Experts will be called in to talk about everything from UFO’s to Bible prophecy. The story will find no geographical center. People will be missing from every continent, every nation, every race, and every tongue. Reports of missing bodies will trickle in, mingling with a flood of “live” disappearances. The “vanished” will number in the millions. It could be today, or tomorrow, or next week, or year.

The only certainty is that it will happen. Christ came to the earth to save us, and He will come again to embrace us forever (John 14:3). God has never failed to keep a promise, and this promise is given to us with crystal clarity.

We should live our lives to be the big story – we sure don’t want to be here watching as it’s reported.
