Reading:  Psalm 69:5

You, God, know my folly;
my guilt is not hidden from you.

It’s amazing how much of ourselves we leave laying around. The latest wave of forensic science has revealed a wealth of physical evidence we constantly trail behind. The good guys have taken some big steps forward over the past few years. Fingerprints, hair, fiber, and DNA are common courtroom themes.

You don’t need Sherlock Holmes or Miss Marple anymore. Just bring on Sally with her swab kit and UV light wand. I’m counseling a growing number of men caught up in Internet pornography. How did they get caught? They didn’t understand that walking around on the Internet is like wearing new boots in damp clay. Your own “personal” computer is tracking your every move online.

God is the ultimate “tracker.” The Bible tells me that He never takes His eyes off of me. Internet retailers track me to sell me something. The adversary tracks me to accuse me, but God tracks me because He loves me. Outsiders consider this invasive. I find it very comforting.
